Kenya 50 Shillings Coin, 2013, KM #44a, Mint

This Kenyan 50 shilling gold plated brass coin was released by the Central Bank of Kenya in 2013 to commemorate the nations 50th Year of Independence. Featured on its obverse are the national arms, the countrys name in English and Swahili, and the denomination. On the center of its reserve is the map of Kenya surrounded by inscriptions in English and Swahili. This 28.28-gram coin has a diameter of 38.61 mm. This minted coin is displayed in a clear block designed with the coat of arms of Kenya on the bottom left. It also comes with a black protective box.
