The note is 152 mm long and 78 mm wide. Its obverse side features Arap Mois profile, the national emblem of Kenya, and roses. Its reverse side depicts a Boeing 727 jet flying over the Jomo Kenyatta Airport in Nairobi and Mount Kenya. The note has a lion head watermark and a solid security thread.
