The maroon and brown 50 Kenyan shilling banknote is part of the series of banknotes that were issued after Daniel Toroitich Arap Mois inauguration as the second President of Kenya. The note is 152 mm long and 78 mm wide. Its obverse side features Arap Mois profile, the national emblem of Kenya, and roses. Its reverse side depicts a Boeing 727 jet flying over the Jomo Kenyatta Airport in Nairobi and Mount Kenya. The note has a lion head watermark and a solid security thread.
