This uncirculated 50 Kenyan shilling banknote is a standard circulation banknote that is dated 01 July 1999 and signed by Central Bank Governor Micah Cheserem and Member Margaret Chemengich. It is a brown and maroon note that measures 138 mm x 72 mm. Its obverse side contains English and Kiswahili text, a view of Mount Kenya, the national coat of arms, and a portrait of Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi, the second president of Kenya. Its reverse side depicts the Mombasa Tusks Monument on Moi Avenue and a camel caravan. Security features include an elephant registration device, a windowed security thread with a demetalized CBK 50, and a lion head watermark.
