This uncirculated 50 Kenyan shilling note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Central Bank of Kenya. It is a brown and maroon note that is dated 01 April 2006, bear the signatures of Andrew K. Mullei and Joseph Kinyua, and measures 138 mm x 72 mm. Its obverse side features a lion, the national coat of arms, Mount Kenya, and the first president of Kenya, Mzee Jomo Kenyatta. Its reverse side shows the Mombasa Tusks monument with buildings and cars on Moi Avenue leading to Kilindini harbor and a camel caravan. Security features include a wider windowed security thread with demetallized CBK 50, an elephant registration device, and a watermark of a lion head and electrotype 50.
