This quarter dinar banknote from Kuwait was part of the family of banknotes that were introduced in 1994 under the Law 1968. This family of notes were the fifth family to be issued by the Central Bank of Kuwait and were the first to have serial numbers expressed in both Western and Arabic numbers. This note was withdrawn in 2015. The brown note was signed by Central Bank Governor Mohammad Yousef Al-Hashel and Minister of Finance Salem AbdulAziz Al-Saud Al-Sabah. Its obverse side features the Kuwaiti coat of arms, a Mebayat box, and the Al-Mouhaleb dhow. Its reverse side depicts girls playing drop the hanky. Security features of the note include a windowed security thread with demetalized KD1/4 and Arabic text and a falcon head watermark. It is printed by De La Rue and has dimensions of 110 mm x 68 mm. This banknote has been graded 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty. It has qualified for PMGs Exceptional Paper Quality (EPQ) and is a gem uncirculated note with above average centering.
