It is part of the series of banknotes that won the 2015 International Award for Best Banknotes Issue. The note represents Kuwaits history and Islamic religion. Its obverse side features a view of the Great State Mosque, the coat of arms of Kuwait, and a dhow. Its reverse side showcases the Greek ruins and ionic column in Fallaka Island. Security features of the note are an optically-variable patch on the obverse side, a 3-mm wide color-changing StarBright windowed security thread with demetalized CBK 1, and a falcon head, electrotype 1, and Cornertstones watermark. The note is 130 mm long and 68 mm tall.
