This 1 Kuwaiti dinar note was introduced by the Central Bank of Kuwait in 1991 and was withdrawn in 2004. It is a yellow-green note that is dated 1968, bears the signatures of Bank Governor Salem Abdul Aziz Sa’ud al-Sabah and Finance Minister Jassam Mohammad al-Kharafi, and measures 137 mm x 68 mm. Its obverse side shows the Telecommunications Center building in Kuwait City and the national emblem. Its reverse side shows the Red Fort. Security features include a solid security thread and a dhow watermark. It is also a gem uncirculated note that qualified for Paper Money Guaranty’s Exceptional Paper Quality, experienced minor handling, and has above-average centering. Thus, it is graded 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty (PMG).
