The Kyrgyzstan 5,000 Som banknote was released by the Kyrgyz Bank in 2009. The green banknote is 156 x 73 mm in size. Its obverse features a film strip and Suimenkul Chokmorov who was an actor, painter, and sportsman. The left part of the reverse side depicts the Ala-Too which is one of the oldest cinemas in Bishkek while on the right are mountains. The banknote is equipped with a watermark that shows Suimenkul Chokmorov with a electrotype 5000. It also carries a windowed security thread with demetalized 5000 COM. This paper bill is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated.
