The Kyrgyzstan 50 Som Banknote from 2002 comes in a limited-edition 3 piece uncut sheet. Its obverse side features a portrait of Czarina Kurmanjan Datka also known as Alai Tsaritsa or The Queen of the South. On the reverse is an 11th-century Uzgen architectural complex with minaret and mausoleum. Each banknote has a dimension of 145 x 70 mm and is equipped with a windowed security thread with demetalized 50 COM to enhance its security features. Placing the note under a UV light would reflect a watermark image of Kurmanjan Datka with electrotype 50.
