The Laos 2,000 Kip Banknote was issued by the Bank of the Lao PDR in 1997. It has a color combination of blue and purple. Its obverse features the first leader of the Communist Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Kaysone Phomvihane, a temple, and the coat of arms of Laos. The reverse depicts the Seset 2 hydroelectric dam. The banknote contains a solid security thread with demetallized 2000. It also has a watermark that reveals Kaysone Phomvihane. The banknote is 152 x 68 m m in size and is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
