The Laos 50 Kip Banknote was issued by the Bank of the Lao PDR in 1979. This red banknote features farmers planting rice in a paddy on its obverse. It also shows a stupa, electrical power towers, and the national coat of arms. Its reverse side shows the Nam Ngum hydroelectric dam. The note does not have a security thread but has a hammer and sickle watermark with a star. It measures 130 mm x 65 mm. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
