The Laos 50 Kip Banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Laos in 1979. Its obverse side features farmers and a water buffalo in a rice paddy. It also depicts the coat of arms. Its reverse side features the Nam Ngum hydroelectric dam. The note does not have a security thread but has a watermark that reveals a hammer and sickle with a star. The red banknote is 130 mm x 65 mm in size. This replacement is part of Series AQ and is in uncirculated condition. Additionally, it has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
