This note is a specimen of a 1,000 Lebanese livre from 2011. The 1,000 Lebanese livre note is dated 2011 and signed by Banque du Liban Governor Riad T. Salameh and First Vice Governor Raed H. Charafeddine. It is a green note that measures 115 mm x 60 mm. Both sides of the note feature the development of the Arabic alphabet and a cedar tree. Its obverse side also shows two diagonal red SPECIMEN overprints in Arabic text. Security features include a 3-mm wide magenta-to-green windowed security thread with demetalized BDL 1000 and a coat of arms watermark with electrotype 1000. The note is also a gem uncirculated note that qualified for Paper Money Guaranty’s Exceptional Paper Quality, experienced minor handling, and has above-average centering. Thus, it is graded 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty (PMG).
