Lebanon 1-100 Livres 4 Pieces Banknote Set, 1952, P-55s-60s, UNC, Specimen

This four-piece banknote set contains four specimen Lebanese pound/livre notes. These notes are dated 1952 and have a SPECIMEN overprint on both sides. The four notes in the set come from the last series of notes issued by the Banque de Syrie et du Grand-Liban (Bank of Syria and Lebanon) that was introduced in 1952 and circulated until 1964. They were all printed by Thomas De La Rue to replace the notes that were successfully counterfeited. The notes feature different landscapes and landmarks in Lebanon and have solid security threads, gradually increasing dimensions, and various watermarks.
