The Lebanon 50,000 Livres banknote issue released in 2001 in pretty much the same as its predecessor with the exception of wider security threads. It measures 155 x 85 mm and has a mixture of blue, olive green, yellow, and red. Its front and back sides feature artistic boats and a cedar tree watermark. It also shows a sun symbol on both sides, but the one on the front is used as registration device. Aside from a holographic stripe, the banknote also has a solid security thread with printed BANQUE DU LIBAN and the name of the issuing bank in Arabic.
