This 50,000 livres Lebanon note is a commemorative banknote issued by the Bank of Lebanon to celebrate the 70 years of the Lebanese army. It is a blue, green, brown, and red polymer note that is dated 2015, bear the signatures of Raed H. Charafeddine and Riad T. Salameh, and measures 140 x 77 mm. Its obverse side features two soldiers in silhouette, coat of arms and a soldier carrying the Lebanese flag. Its reverse side shows a monument to martyrs in Yarze (headquarters of the Lebanese Ministry of Defense), soldier saluting in silhouette and a stalk of wheat. Security features include a simulated security thread with demetalized BDL without watermark. This specimen banknote has a diagonal red SPECIMEN overprint on both sides. Additionally, the note is qualified for PMG’s Exceptional Paper Quality (EPQ) and an above average centering. The note is graded 68 by the Paper Money Guaranty (PMG).
