The 500 Lebanese livre banknote is a standard circulation banknote that is dated 1988 and signed by Bank Governor Edmond Naim and First Vice Governor Hussein Canaan. It comes in a combination of purple, blue, green, black, orange, and brown and measures 156 mm x 67 mm. Its obverse side portrays the aerial view of Beirut with Pigeon Rocks and Raouché Corniche in foreground. Its reverse side shows the ruins of Corinthian columns of the Roman Temple of Jupiter in Baalbek, an entablature decorated with a frieze of lions, and a cedar tree. Security features include a solid segmented security thread and a watermark of a lion head. The banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated.
