The Lesotho 50 Maloti banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Lesotho in 2010. The obverse of this violet banknote features King Moshoeshoe II, King Letsie III, King Moshoeshoe I, and the coat of arms of Lesotho depicting a crocodile on a shield flanked by Basotho horses. It also shows a holographic patch. The back of the paper bill depicts men on horseback. The banknote is 138 x 70 mm in size and bears a windowed security thread with a demetalized CBL and four-leaf clovers. It also has a registration device in the form of a Basotho hat and a watermark that reflects King Moshoeshoe I in a top hat, an electrotype 50 capped with a Basotho hat, and Cornerstones. The paper bill bears the signature of Governor Moeketsi Senaoana. This paper bill is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated.
