The Lesotho 50 Maloti Banknote is part of the 2010-2015 Issues. The obverse side shows a Basotho hat (mokorotlo) as a registration device, King Moshoeshoe II, King Letsie III, King Moshoeshoe I, a coat of arms with a crocodile on a shield flanked by Basotho horses, and a holographic patch. The reverse side shows men on horseback and a Basotho hat (mokorotlo). The banknote is violet in color and measures 138 x 70 mm. It bears a windowed security thread with a demetalized CBL and four-leaf clovers. It also contains a watermark for security. It was given a grade of 67 by grading company Paper Money Guaranty (PMG).
