Lesotho 50 Maloti Banknote, 2013, P-23b, UNC

The Lesotho 50 Maloti banknote is part of the Central Bank of Lesotho’s 2013 issues. Featured on the obverse of this violet banknote are King Moshoeshoe II, King Letsie III, King Moshoeshoe I, and the coat of arms of Lesotho depicting a crocodile on a shield flanked by a Basotho horse. The reverse of the note depicts men on horseback and a Basotho hat. The banknote includes a windowed security thread with a demetallized CBL and four-leaf clovers. It also contains a watermark that reflects King Moshoeshoe I wearing a top hat, an electrotype 50 capped with a Basotho hat, and Cornerstones. This banknote is 138 x 70 mm in size and is in uncirculated condition.
