The Lesotho 50 Maloti banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Lesotho in 2013. The obverse of this violet banknote features King Moshoeshoe II, King Letsie III, King Moshoeshoe I, and the coat of arms of Lesotho depicting a crocodile on a shield with a Basotho horse on each side. The reverse of the note depicts men on horseback and a Basotho hat. Security features of this banknote include a windowed security thread with a demetallized CBL and four-leaf clovers. It also contains a watermark that reflects King Moshoeshoe I wearing a top hat, an electrotype 50 capped with a Basotho hat, and Cornerstones. This banknote is 138 x 70 mm in size and is in uncirculated condition. It also has been TAP authenticated.
