This uncirculated 2,000 Macedonian denari banknote is one of the two new denominations introduced by the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia in 2016. It has purple, orange, yellow, and green colors and bears the signatures of Bank Governor Dimitar Bogov. Its obverse side is vertically oriented and contains a 7th century poppy cup pendant and a woman in a Macedonian bridal outfit, and a green-to-blue SPARK element. Its reverse side features a Christian mosaic of two peacocks near the source of life inside a 16th century gilded vessel. Other security features of the note include an Early Christian mosaic registration device, a pearlescent stripe with 2000 and a star pattern, a red-to-green windowed security thread with demetalized text, and a watermark of a Macedonian bride, electrotype 2000, and Cornerstones.
