The Macedonia 500 Denari Banknote was issued by the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia in 1996. The banknote is predominantly orange. Its obverse features a golden tin death mask from the 6th-century BC necropolis of Trebenista near Ohrid. The reverse of the note depicts a poppy blossom and flowering plants. The note contains a 2-mm windowed security thread with a demetallized text. It also has a watermark that reveals a death mask. It is 148 x 70 mm in size and is signed by Tome Nenovki and Borko Stanoevski. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
