This purple, brown, yellow, green, and red 1,000 Malagasy banknote is part of the 2017 series of banknotes that have the theme Madagascar and Its Riches. Its front side contains Malagasy text, an outline map of Madagascar, the outline of two flying birds, and a view of Kamoro Bridge. Its reverse side contains French and Malagasy text and the highway and rock formation in Isalo National Park. The security features of the note include a square tactile feature, iridescent stripes, a butterfly registration device, a solid security thread with demetalized BFM 1000 and Madagascar map, and a zebu head and electrotype 1000 watermark. The note is 129 mm long and 69 mm wide. It is in uncirculated condition.
