The Madagascar 1,000 Francs Banknote is part of the Third Republic (1992-2010) period of the country. The obverse side shows a head of a Malagasy man at the center right, and boats in the background with sea shells and corals. The reverse side features men wearing hats that are pulling the fishing nets from the boat, a young girl with a basket of seafood (lobsters and crabs), along with corals and fishes. This banknote is blue, brown, yellow, and red in color. It measures 137 x 76 mm and has a Paper Money Guaranty grade of 65. It also has a solid security thread with a Zebu cattle head watermark.
