The Madagascar 10,000 Francs = 2,000 Ariary Banknote, released in 1995, and is part of the Third Republic (1992-2010) period of the country. This banknote measures 165 x 75 mm and has tan, brown, red, yellow and purple colors. The obverse side features an old Malagasy man with beard, along with flowers in the background and carved wooden artifacts that were drawn by Pierrette Lambert, a French artist who is known to have drawn banknotes and postage stamps. The artifacts in the background includes statue, vases, and musical instruments. The reverse side shows crystals, a man wearing hat carving artifact using a knife, two men with sickles, an anvil, a hoop, along with two radiated tortoises.
