The Madagascar 2,000 Ariary = 10,000 Francs Banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Madagascar in 2003. The green banknote bears French and Malagasy texts. Its obverse depicts baobab trees. The reverse depicts a map of Madagascar and terraced rice paddies in Betsileo. The banknote contains a windowed security thread with demetalized BFM 2000, a map of Madagascar registration device, and a watermark that reveals Zebu cattle’s head and an electrotype 2000. The banknote is 144 x 72 mm in size and is signed by Gaston Edouard Ravelojaona. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
