This uncirculated 2,000 Malagasy ariary banknote is a standard circulation banknote introduced by the Central Bank of Madagascar. It is an olive green, yellow, red, and green banknote that bears the signature of Alain Herve M. Rasolofondraibe and measures 134 mm x 72 mm. Its obverse side features an outline map of Madagascar, a flower in OVI, a lemur, and two birds in flight. Its reverse side depicts a flower, a tropical pitcher plant, and a butterfly. Security features include a DualTrack winnowed security thread with a demetalized head of Zebu cattle, BFM 2000 and a bridge, a butterfly registration device, and a watermark of a Zebu cattle head with an electrotype 2000.
