This 2,000 Malagasy ariary note is part of the 2017 series of notes issued by the Central Bank of Madagascar with the theme Madagascar and Its Riches. The note has olive green, red, yellow, and green colors. Its obverse side contains Malagasy text, an outline map of Madagascar, a flower in optically variable ink, a lemur, and two flying birds. Its reverse side contains French and Malagasy text, a tropical pitcher plant, and a flower. The security features of the note are an eight-digit serial number and one-letter prefix, a butterfly registration device, a DualTrack windowed security thread with demetalized Zebu cattle head, BFM 2000, and bridge, and a watermark of a Zebu cattle head and electrotyped 2000. The note is 134 mm long and 72 mm wide. This note is in uncirculated condition and its features have been verified by Banknote World experts.
