This uncirculated 200 Malagasy ariary banknote is a standard circulation banknote introduced by the Central Bank of Madagascar as part of its “Madagascar and Its Riches” series in 217. It is a gray, yellow, and blue banknote that bears the signature of Alain Herve M. Rasolofondraibe and measures 119 mm x 63 mm. Its obverse side contains Malagasy text, an outline map of Madagascar, two birds in flight, and a view of the Amber Mountains Waterfall. Its reverse side depicts the flowering tree on Nosy Hara and migrating butterflies. Security features include a butterfly registration device, a solid security thread with demetalized BFM 200 and Madagascar map, and a watermark of a Zebu cattle head with an electrotype 200.
