The Madagascar 500 Ariary Banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Madagascar in 2004. Its obverse side shows woven crafts and women with hat-weaving baskets. Its reverse side depicts a rancher with a herd of Zebu cattle. Security features include a map as a registration device, a red and green solid security thread with printed BFM 500, and a watermark of a Zebu cattle head with an electrotype 500. The orange banknote measures 132 mm x 66 mm and bears the signature of Gaston Edouard Ravelojaona. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated.
