This uncirculated 500 Malagasy ariary banknote is a standard circulation banknote introduced by the Central Bank of Madagascar in 2017. It is an orange, yellow, blue, green, and brown banknote that bears the signature of Alaine Herve M. Rasolofondraibe, and measures 124 mm x 66 mm. Its obverse side features an outline map of Madagascar, two birds in flight, and Ambohimanga. Its reverse side depicts the Tsingy Rouge Stone formation in the Diana region. Security features include a butterfly registration device, a solid security thread with demetalized BFM 500 and map, and a watermark of a Zebu cattle head with an electrotype 500.
