The Madagascar 500 Francs Banknote is part of the 1994-1998 Issues. It has colors green, brown, and red, and it measures 130 x 75 mm. The obverse side shows travelers palm tree (Ravenala madagascariensis) fronds, village huts, a Malagasy girl with braided hair. The reverse side shows men herding zebu cattle, a mountainside village with trees and small buildings, and women harvesting rice in a paddy. This banknote contains a solid security thread with a printed BANKY FOIBENI MADAGASIKARA. Also, it uses a watermark with a Zebu cattle head design. It was given a grade of 67 by grading company Paper Money Guaranty (PMG).
