Reviews:

The Malawi 1 Kwacha Banknote is part of the 1990-1994 issues where the notes are the first in Malawi to use novel serial numbers (vertical and horizontal) as well as a registration device in the shape of a rooster. The front side shows a rooster as registration device, a palm tree, a man with pole in the dugout canoe on Lake Malawi, and the portrait of the President Hastings Banda. The back side shows two men that are cultivating tobacco along with a rooster. This banknote is reddish brown and purple in color which measures 135 x 70 mm.
