The Malawi 10 Kwacha Banknote was issued by the Reserve Bank of Malawi in 1997. This brown banknote bears English text. Its obverse features three men with fishing nets on a small boat on Lake Mandaue. It also portrays revolutionary John Chilembwe. The reverse depicts three girls reading books under trees (girls in education) and the bank logo. The banknote contains a windowed security thread with demetallized RBM. Its watermark reveals Chilembwe. It also has a registration device in the form of a fish. The banknote is 132 x 66 mm in size and is signed by Mathews Aurelius Padzuwa Chikaonda. This particular paper bill is in uncirculated condition.
