This uncirculated 20 Kwacha Malawi note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Reserve Bank of Malawi. It is a purple note that is dated 1997, bears the signature of Mathews Aurelius Padzuwa Chikaonda, and measures 138 x 69 mm. Its obverse side features fish as registration device, three men with fishing net in a small boat on Lake Malawi, and John Chilembwe. Its reverse side shows two men harvesting tea leaves with mountains in the background (tea plantations), bank logo, and a fish. Security features include a windowed security thread with demetalized RBM and a watermark of Chilembwe. The note was demonetized on 22 August 2013.
