This uncirculated 20 Malawian kwacha note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Reserve Bank of Malawi. It is a purple note that is dated 01 July 1997, bears the signature of Dr. Mathews A. P. Chikaonda, and measures 138 mm x 69 mm. Its obverse side features fishermen in Lake Malawi and John Chilembwe. Its reverse side shows two men harvesting tea leaves in a plantation. Security features include a fish registration device, a windowed security thread with a demetallized RBM, and a watermark of Chilembwe. The note was demonetized in 2013.
