The Malawi 20 Kwacha Banknote, released in 2016, and comes from the the 2014-2019 issues which has the enhanced blind recognition features. In this series, the color of the 50-kwacha note was changed from light blue to light green to differentiate it from the 200-kwacha note. This TAP Authenticated banknote has purple and orange colors, which measures 128 x 64 mm. The front side of this banknote bears the Reserve Bank of Malawi headquarters in Lilongwe, along with a portrait of Inkosi ya Makhosi Mmbelwa II (Lazalo Mkhuzo Jere). The back side shows the Machinga Teacher's Training College, a stack of books and a mortarboard.
