The Malawi 50 Kwacha Banknote is part of the 2012-2013 issues which has a theme that focuses on the long-term objectives outlined in the Malawi Growth and Development Strategy. This banknote is light blue, orange and green in color, measures 128 x 64 mm and was given a grade of 66 by the grading company Paper Money Guaranty (PMG). The front side shows a fish, fishermen in a boat, the Malawi map as a registration device, the Reserve Bank of Malawi headquarters building in Lilongwe, along with the portrait of Inkosi Ya Makhosi Gomani II (Philip Zitonga Maseko). The back side bears elephants, a tree, and a safari vehicle in Kasungu National Park, along with the Malawi map and the bank logo.
