The Malawi 50 Kwacha Banknote was issued by the Reserve Bank of Malawi in 2020. It has a color combination of light green, light blue, and orange. Its obverse features the Reserve Bank of Malawi headquarters building in Lilongwe and Inkosi Ya Makhosi Gomani II (Philip Zitonga Maseko). It also shows a fish and fishermen on a boat. The reverse displays elephants and a safari vehicle in Kasungu National Park with a tree in the background. It also features the bank logo. The note contains a windowed security thread with a demetallized RBM and a registration device in the form of the Malawi map. The banknote also bears a watermark that reveals Inkosi Ya Makhosi Gomni II. an electrotype 50, and Cornerstones. It is 128 x 64 mm in size and is signed by Dalitso Kabambe. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition.
