This uncirculated 500 Kwacha Malawi note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Reserve Bank of Malawi. It is a brown, orange, and light blue note that is dated 2012, bears the signature of Dr. Perks M. Ligoya, and measures 132 x 66 mm. Its obverse side features fish, fishermen in boat, a Malawi map as registration device, Reserve Bank of Malawi headquarters building in Lilongwe and Reverend John Chilembwe. Its reverse side shows Mulunguzi dam in Zomba, water spigot, Malawi map, bank logo, silhouette of woman carrying container on head and man carrying hoe over shoulder and Holographic stripe. Security features include a windowed security thread with demetalized RBM and a watermark of John Chilembwe, electrotype 500 and Cornerstones.
