The Malawi 500 Kwacha Banknote is part of the 2012-2013 issues which measures 132 x 66 mm. This banknote has brown, orange and light blue colors. The obverse side bears the portrait of Reverend John Chilembwe and the Reserve Bank of Malawi in Lilongwe. The back side shows the Mulunguzi Dam (Zomba) and a faucet. This banknote features a windowed security thread, has a watermark of John Chilembwes portrait, and was given a grade of 67 by the grading company Paper Money Guaranty (PMG).
