The Malaysia 1 Ringgit Banknote is part of the 1999-2010 Third Issues. This TAP authenticated banknote is blue in color and measures 120 x 65 mm. The obverse side shows Tuanku Abdul Rahman wearing a tengkolok headgear. The reverse side shows the BNM logo, tourism, a Malaysian kite, a beach, Mount Kinabalu and pinnacles of Gunung Api in Mulu National Park. The banknote contains a windowed security thread with demetalized BNM RM1. Also, it uses a watermark with Tuanku Abdul Rahman, and an electrotype 1 design.
