The 2015 10 Maldivian rufiyaa banknote is part of the Randhihafaheh family of bank notes. Other special features of this particular family of banknotes are that there are embossed symbols at the upper left front side of the note for the sight-impaired, the obverse side of the notes is covered by patterns printed in gold pearlescent ink, and the notes are all designed by Abdullah Nashaath, a local artist. The front side of the note has an underprint of boduberu (traditional drum) designs, a portrait of a group of people playing the boduberu in the background, and a toddy tapper climbing up a coconut tree on the foreground. The back side features the oldest drum in Maldives. The notes watermark is the coat of arms of Maldives. The theme of this note is our culture. It measures 150 mm by 70 mm.
