The Maldives 20 Rufiyaa Banknote was issued by the Maldives Monetary Authority in 1987. It is predominantly indigo and features cowry shells on its obverse. The obverse also shows a bunch of coconuts and add a dhivehi odi (boat) in full sail. its reverse depicts boats at the wharf in Male’s inner harbor. It contains a solid security thread and a watermark that reveals the coat of arms of the Maldives. The banknote is 150 x 70 mm in size and is signed by Governor Maumoon Abdul Gayoom. This particular paper bill is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
