This uncirculated 5 Maldivian rufiyaa note is dated 2011 and signed by Fazeel Najeeb. It is part of the last series of paper notes issued by the Maldives Monetary Authority. It is also a purple note that measures 150 mm x 70 mm. Its obverse side features a Dhivehi odi (a native boat) in full sail, a bunch of coconuts, and a cowrie shell border. Its reverse side shows tuna fishermen sailing on three lateen-rigged dhoanis. Security features include a solid security thread with demetalized MMA, a repeating serial number, and a watermark of the coat of arms of Maldives.
