Maldives 50 Rufiyaa Banknote, 2022, P-28a.2, UNC, Polymer

The Maldives 50 Rufiyaa Banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Maldives Monetary Authority in 2022, printed on polymer and with the theme “Our unity and our Islamic values.” Its obverse side shows an underprint with stone carvings in the Friday Mosque (Hukuru Miskiy) design, a seated boy reciting the Holy Quran, and men pulling boats from the beach. Its reverse side is vertically oriented and depicts the minaret of the Friday Mosque (Hukuru Miskiy). The banknote does not have a security thread but has a shadow image of the national coat of arms and a denomination registration device. The green banknote bears the signature of Azeema Adam and measures 150 mm x 70 mm. This polymer banknote is in uncirculated condition.
