This uncirculated 1,000 Ouguiya Mauritania unissued note is a specimen banknote, printed by Thomas de la Rue for the Central Bank of Mauritania. It is a green and blue note that is dated 1977, bears the signature of Ahmed Ould Daddah, and measures 165 x 90 mm. Its obverse side features woman, people and cattle at water well, palm trees and cranes. Its reverse side shows two people and a mine shaft. Both sides of the note show a diagonal red SPECIMEN overprint. Security features include a solid security thread and a watermark of Sidi Ethmane Ould Mohamed Mahmoud Essemlaly, a Smalils sharif.
