This 1,000 Ouguiya Mauritania unissued note has a replacement serial number, printed by Thomas de la Rue for the Central Bank of Mauritania. It is a green and blue note that is dated 1977, bears the signature of Ahmed Ould Daddah, and measures 165 x 90 mm. Its obverse side features a woman, people and cattle at a water well, palm trees and cranes. Its reverse side shows two people and a mine shaft. Security features include a solid security thread and a watermark of Sidi Ethmane Ould Mohamed Mahmoud Essemlaly, a Smalils sharif. Additionally, the note is qualified for PMG’s Exceptional Paper Quality (EPQ) and an above average centering. The note is graded 65 by the Paper Money Guaranty (PMG).
