Reviews:

A unique design 1000 ouguiya was commissioned and printed but never issued. It has been long rumored to exist but has only been discovered in early 2024 that some of these notes still exist.

This 1000 ouguiya is a large, vibrant red banknote. It has a large portrait of Smalils sharif Sidi Ethame Ould Mohamed Mahmoud Essemlaly matching the watermark. The reverse contains a desert image with a camel and agricultural vingettes on left and right of a mining facility-highlighting multiple key parts of the country.
